Job Summary

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities for a factory construction project in Duqm Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining the Project Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications applicable codes and standards client requirements and contractual obligations. The QA/QC Manager will coordinate with the client consultant subcontractors and project team to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities-

  • Develop implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Prepare and manage Project Quality Plans Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Method Statements and quality procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications drawings approved procedures and applicable standards.
  • Manage all QA/QC personnel inspectors and laboratory activities.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing activities with clients consultants and third-party agencies.
  • Review and approve material submittals method statements and quality documentation.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
  • Issue track and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and observations.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits.
  • Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain quality records inspection reports and test certificates.
  • Analyze quality trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide quality performance reports to management.
  • Ensure all turnover and handover documentation is prepared and submitted properly.


Requirements


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 810 years of QA/QC experience in industrial factory infrastructure or heavy construction projects.
  • Minimum 35 years in a QA/QC Manager or Lead QA/QC role.
  • Experience in GCC countries preferably Oman.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with industrial facilities factories warehouses and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with ASTM BS ACI AWS ASME and other relevant international standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of inspection testing and quality documentation processes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English. Chinese is an advantage
