About the role
As Manager Aviation Security you are the CAA-nominated post holder accountable for the management and supervision of our security programme and its compliance with aviation security requirements. You will own our security programme and procedures lead threat assessment and keep our people aircraft and passengers secure fulfilling the nominated post-holder role for Aviation Security.
What youll do
- Manage and supervise the airlines security programme and its compliance with the National Civil Aviation Security Programme.
- Maintain the airlines security programme procedures and the relevant security sections of the Operations Manual.
- Oversee security training requirements for crew and ground staff.
- Conduct and apply threat assessment identifying evaluating and mitigating security threats to operations.
- Coordinate with airports regulators and law-enforcement/security agencies and support the QMS/SMS and just culture.
What youll bring
- Five years relevant experience including two in the aviation industry in an appropriate security or safety-critical role.
- Proven experience as a nominated Aviation Security Post Holder (or equivalent) accountable to the regulator.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme airline security programmes and procedures security training requirements and threat assessment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations AOC Operations Specifications and the relevant Operations Manual sections.
- Solid management experience leading security teams and coordinating with airports regulators and security agencies with familiarity in QMS and SMS.
