Job Summary

A. Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Manage day to day accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements for CFO review
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash positions
  • Support monthly closing process and reporting timelines
Capital & Financial Control
  • Monitor receivables payables and cash flow cycles
  • Support implementation of financial controls and procedures
  • Track budget vs actual performance and assist in variance analysis
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trail across transactions
C. Compliance & Governance
  • Support compliance with Oman Commercial Companies Law applicable to SAOC
  • entities
  • Assist in maintaining statutory records and regulatory filings
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and approval frameworks
  • Support tracking of banking covenants and financing obligations
D. Audit & Coordination
  • Act as a key coordinator for external and internal audits
  • Prepare audit schedules and required documentation
  • Follow up on audit observations and ensure timely closure
  • Support CFO in audit committee and governance reporting
E. CFO Support & Finance Manager Coverage
  • Work directly with CFO on financial analysis reporting and strategic initiatives
  • Support preparation of Board level financial summaries and presentations
  • Actively cover Finance Manager responsibilities in their absence or as required
  • Take ownership of assigned finance areas with a view to progressively handling full Finance Manager scope

4. Qualification & Experience
  • Omani National (mandatory)
  • ACCA Qualified
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Experience in audit firm or corporate finance function is an advantage
5. Performance Indicators
  • Timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
  • Quality of financial records and reconciliations
  • Compliance with internal controls and policies
  • Timely audit support and closure of audit observations
  • Ability to independently handle assigned finance functions
  • Readiness to take on Finance Manager responsibilities
