At Aker BioMarine we are looking for a VP of Digital & IT to take ownership of our digital development and help drive the next chapter of our growth journey.

As our VP of Digital & IT you will play a central role in shaping how technology enables our business to grow innovate and operate more efficiently. This is a role for someone who enjoys both setting direction and getting directly involved in making things happen.

Reporting to our CFO and joining his leadership team you will take ownership of our digital and IT direction working closely with leaders across the organization to identify opportunities challenge existing processes and turn technological possibilities into tangible results.

We are already well underway with several exciting initiatives. A major priority is the consolidation and modernization of our technology landscape bringing together systems improving data flows and creating a more scalable digital foundation across our global operations. You will be actively involved in driving these projects forward working alongside your team and business stakeholders to solve challenges make decisions and deliver results.

At the same time we have ambitious plans for AI and automation. We are actively exploring and adopting new technologies and we want someone who can take this further bringing structure direction and momentum to how we use AI across the business. You will lead an experienced and highly independent IT team supported by external specialists. While you wont need to manage every technical detail we expect you to be a hands-on leader who takes ownership of execution contributes directly to key initiatives and steps in wherever needed to move things forward.

Importantly this is not a role with every answer already defined. You will have significant freedom to shape the agenda identify opportunities and build on the strong foundations already in place. We are looking for someone who is equally motivated by developing the strategy and delivering on it.

• Drive digital transformation: Develop and execute our digital strategy identifying opportunities to improve processes strengthen capabilities and create measurable business value.

• Lead our AI and automation agenda: Together with People and Communications set direction for how AI and automation are adopted across the organization ensuring practical application responsible governance and a strong data foundation.

• Modernize our technology landscape: Drive the consolidation integration and development of business-critical systems including ERP CRM and data platforms.

• Lead and develop our people: Provide direction support and development opportunities for an experienced IT team fostering ownership collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Connect technology and business: Work closely with senior leadership and business functions to understand challenges identify opportunities and translate technology into commercial and operational value.

• Turn strategy into action: Take ownership of initiatives from idea to implementation combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach when needed.

• Ensure a strong IT foundation: Maintain oversight of IT operations security technology partners and system performance supported by capable internal and external specialists.

• Support future growth: Contribute technological expertise to potential acquisitions business integrations and other strategic developments as the company evolves.

You are comfortable operating in the space between strategy and execution. You can see the bigger picture but you are equally willing to roll up your sleeves and move things forward.

You do not need to be the most technical person in the room. What matters is your ability to ask the right questions challenge assumptions bring people together and make sound decisions.

We believe you will succeed in this role if you bring:

• Proven experience driving digital transformation and implementing technology-enabled business improvements.

• Broad experience within IT or technology leadership with the ability to set direction and manage competing priorities.

• A strong understanding of AI automation and how data and technology can improve business processes.

• Experience leading and developing people with a collaborative and empowering leadership style.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate technology-related opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive curious and solution-oriented mindset combined with the ability to turn ideas into results.

• Fluency in Norwegian and English both written and spoken.

Experience with complex technology landscapes ERP or CRM transformations international operations or businesses with complex value chains would be an advantage. Experience from management consulting digital innovation or technology transformation environments may also be relevant.
