Telecom Engineer
Job Summary
Sperton Global is looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to join an exciting EPCIC project in Bergen.
The role will focus on telecommunications engineering activities across the global design detailed design work package development follow-up and as-built phases of the project.
The ideal candidate has relevant experience within telecommunications for the Norwegian Continental Shelf along with knowledge of Equinor technical requirements and NORSOK standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all required Telecom activities during the global design phase
Perform Telecom engineering activities during the detailed design phase
Create Telecom work packages
Follow up on Telecom activities and contribute to as-built documentation
Act as Deputy Discipline Lead within Telecom when required
Follow project activity schedules and ensure timely delivery of engineering activities
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience
Relevant experience and broad knowledge of Telecommunications deliverables for the Norwegian Continental Shelf
Good understanding of Equinor technical requirements and NORSOK standards
Experience with network design including:
Fiber optic networks
Network cabling
Relevant installation experience
Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team
Accurate organized and service-minded approach
Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing project requirements
Ability to motivate and support colleagues when required
Good understanding of project schedules and activities

FSE
Offshore training (GSK)
Software
Experience with relevant project-specific software is required. The project references ProCoSys and Stid.
Education
Relevant education in Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline such as:
Associate Degree
Vocational School
Bachelors Degree
Masters Degree
