Summer Internship 2027 Inbound Logistics & Shipping, OsloKarmøy

Logistics part of the Aluminium Metal (AM) Commercial business unit works as a strategic and operational service provider for key functions within AM such as Product Areas Strategic Sourcing and Primary Production. The logistics Operations department is responsible for the coordination of the transport of inbound and outbound products making sure raw materials are available and finished goods are delivered on time. Logistics Operations is embarking into a journey of digitalization to improve efficiency with the aim of automating processes and communications with stakeholders improving managerial and operational dashboards

The Commercial Logistics Operations teams are based at both the offices in Vækerø and at the Karmøy plant. Every year our interns travel to Karmøy to see the plant and port as well as meet the team members who are based there. A unique opportunity to get an insight in one of Norways larger cargo portfolios.

An internship in Hydro is a great way for you to try out and learn more about your field of study. You will obtain valuable experience and you get to tackle relevant tasks and real challenges with support from experienced colleagues. You will also get to participate in a joint program with all the Hydro summer interns allowing you to learn more about our business and acquire interdisciplinary knowledge. All the while we expect and want you to have a fun experience during the summer.

• Digitalization and automation of processes and communication.
• Increase use of Microsoft 365 tools like SharePoint Power Automate and Power BI.
• Elevate Power BIreports and managerial dashboards.
• Use AI to make logistics processes more efficient.

• Master study in Supply Chain Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
• Curious self-motivated and proactive with a strong digital mindset and analytical skills.
• Highly proficient in problem-solving data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Strong interest in developing expertise in SharePoint Power Automate and Power BI.
