Job Summary

Description

As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for servicing troubleshooting testing commissioning and supporting NOVs crane and lifting systems. You will work both offshore and onshore supporting customers in Norway and internationally while helping ensure safe and reliable operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service inspection testing troubleshooting and commissioning of NOV crane and lifting systems
  • Act as the primary point of contact between customers and NOV management during offshore assignments
  • Participate in pre-job briefings and post-job debriefings with NOV Supervisors
  • Prepare accurate service reports and contribute to improving procedures work instructions and checklists
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and technical support teams to ensure safe and efficient operation of NOV products
  • Follow NOVs Health Safety & Environment (HSE) standards as well as customer procedures
  • Stay up to date with new products technologies and service methods
  • Deliver high-quality customer service while representing NOV professionally

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Trade certificate or vocational qualification in Electrical Automation Hydraulics Industrial Mechanics or another relevant technical discipline
  • Alternatively relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Electrical systems
  • Hydraulics
  • Automation and control systems
  • Industrial IT and networking
  • Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English written and spoken
  • Ability to work independently systematically and under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must be based in Norway and able to report to the Service office in Molde

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical college education or higher technical education
  • Experience from offshore maritime or industrial service environments
  • Previous experience working with cranes lifting equipment or heavy machinery
  • Commissioning or field service experience
