We are looking for a passionate and drivenResearcherinSalmonid Nutritionto join ourSalmonid Nutritionteam in Stavanger on a temporary basis(2years).In this role you will contribute to the next generation of nutritional solutions for salmonids helping to improve fish performance health welfare and sustainability across the global aquaculture industry.

Whatyoulldo
As a ResearcherinSalmonid Nutrition you will play a key role in delivering research that supports Skrettings innovation agenda.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning coordinationexecutionand interpretation of research studies related to nutrition of the salmonid species;mainly Atlanticsalmon but alsoandcoho.
Developing innovative nutritional solutions aimed atoptimizingfeed formulations improving growth performance and enhancing fish health and welfare.
Providing technicalexpertiseand support to Skretting operating companies worldwide on fish nutrition and feed formulation topics.
Managing collaborative research projects with universities research institutes suppliers and national and international funding organizations.
Communicating research findings and supporting the implementation of innovations across the business.
Contributing to the development of new ingredients products technologies and concepts that drive sustainable aquaculture forward.
Who you are
You are a curious and collaborative scientist who combines technicalexpertisewith a practical results-oriented approach.
We are looking for someone with:
PhD or equivalent in fishor animalnutrition or fish health biology/veterinary science (or MSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience)
Backgroundin fish research or commercial farming of fish is an advantage
Experience with laboratory work diagnostics and field sampling will be valued
Strong competence in experimental design and statistical analysis of fish shrimp or animal trials.
An established scientific network which is considered an advantage.
An innovative mindsetincluding a hands-on and target oriented mentality.
Independent and flexible with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across cultures and backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills witha high levelofproficiencyin English.
