Job Summary
This is a hands-on laboratory role covering a maternity leave with most of your time spent at the bench. You will gain direct experience in industrial radiopharmaceutical development at one of the worlds largest radiopharmaceutical sites contribute across the full CMC development pathway and take ownership of a defined project with clear deliverables throughout the contract period.

GE HealthCare Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways PDx products support three patients every second around the world.
- Plan design and carry out radiochemistry experiments to develop radiolabelling methods suitable for the reliable supply of radiopharmaceuticals through pre-clinical and clinical translation and ultimately for commercial production.
- Work hands-on in the radiochemistry laboratory handling radioactivity in accordance with local safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret experimental results troubleshoot labelling chemistry and iterate method development independently.
- Apply and where needed develop analytical methods for the characterisation and release of radiolabelled products.
- Work within a multidisciplinary scientific team and with colleagues across the different functions of the business including analytical development manufacturing and regulatory affairs.
- Coordinate with colleagues and external partners at other sites where experimental work is shared.
- Document experimental work and author scientific reports and documentation to support regulatory packages (laboratory notebooks internal development reports IND IMPD NDA MAA research publications).
Qualifications / Requirements
- Degree in radiochemistry chemistry or a closely related field PhD or MSc with relevant practical experience.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience of PET or radionuclide radiolabelling in a laboratory setting. Experience with 18Ffluoride labelling is strongly preferred.
- Experience of radiopharmaceutical product development or production in an academic or commercial setting.
- Practical knowledge of the analytical techniques used to characterise and release radiopharmaceuticals (e.g. radio-HPLC GC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. English is the working language of the team.
- Eligibility to work in Norway or eligibility to obtain the necessary permit.
