At BISS Preschool the development of the whole child is at the heart of our education programme. Children are taught an inquiry driven play based programme integrated with the Norwegian Framework Plan for Preschool has 100children from over 35nationsaged 18 months to 6 years of age.

The Preschool is on the same campus as BISS Gausel one of ourprimary schools in a quiet suburb of Stavanger. The adjacentwoodland and fjord provide enriched outdoor learning experiences. BISS Preschool works in collaboration with BISS Gausel and BISS Sentrum Primary Schools.

BISS Preschool has a vacancyfor ateaching assistant on supply for staff absence or illness.
This is a part-time(0%) permanent position. Supply assistants are on call to work as required by the Preschool.
Payment is on an hourly basis.
The position isavailable immediately.

You will be working as part of a highly motivated and collaborative team offeringa balanced curriculum that promotesthe acquisition of key skills and behaviours through play and inquiry based learning.

The role of the PreschoolAssistant is to:

• ensure the provision of abroad balanced relevant and differentiated curriculum for the children in BISS Preschool
• raise the standard of childrens achievement within BISSPreschools curriculum
• participate in the realisation of BISSPreschools objectives
• undertake any additional professional duties as required

• full teacher assistant qualifications (for international schools) are preferred. Relevant experience can compensate for missing qualifications in some circumstances.
• strong collaboration skills
• excellent English skills both written and oral (Minimum B2)
• skills in building a caring nurturing and creative environment
• skills in building positive relationships with parents
• you must be available to work at short notice and be based in the Stavanger area
