Applications are now open for our 2027 internship program at our Oslo studio. We are welcoming students currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree program at an educational institution in Norway who want to complete an unpaid internship as part of their studies.
Because arrangements for internships vary between institutions and programs we encourage you to confirm the requirements with your institution before applying.
The program offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience learn from experienced colleagues and mentors and contribute towards great games.

Place: Oslo Norway On-site. You will need to arrange and cover your own travel and accommodation. Youll also have access to our free breakfast bar and lunch.

We are looking for two Analytics Interns to join our team. Analytics is a growing part of how we improve our games at Funcom. Turning data about how people play into clear reliable insights that help teams make better decisions. As an Analytics Intern you would be embedded in our seven-person team and paired with an experienced analyst as your mentor doing hands-on work and learning transferrable skills.
You would work alongside our analysts on real player and game data taking on well-scoped tasks with guidance and growing your scope over time.
Preparing cleaning and validating datasets used in recurring analyses and reporting.
Supporting recurring KPI reporting and dashboard updates for our live games.
Helping with well-defined analyses such as retention cuts cohort breakdowns player profiling and live-ops readouts.
Supporting telemetry and event-tracking checks under guidance and helping investigate straightforward data-quality issues.
Turning findings into clear charts and summaries and sharing your work with the team.
Careful data preparation is a genuine part of analytics not just the analysis at the end and you should expect it to be part of your week.
You do not need professional analytics experience. Were interested in the foundations youve developed through coursework personal projects or other practical work - and in your curiosity about games players and data.
You are currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree program in a quantitative or evidence-based field. This includes dedicated analytics and data science programs as well as fields such as statistics mathematics economics computer science engineering natural sciences and psychology or cognitive science.
You enjoy working with data and like the puzzle of turning a messy question into a clear answer.
You have some exposure to working with data for example through coursework a thesis or personal projects using tools such as Excel Python R or SQL. Fundamentals and a willingness to learn matter more than a long tool list and we expect to teach you a lot.
You can communicate clearly in English which is our working language and are comfortable asking questions in a flat collaborative team.
You are genuinely passionate about video games. This is central to the role. An interest in the kinds of games we make is a real advantage: survival games multiplayer and MMO experiences and large-scale open-world titles that players return to over long periods.
