Co-founded by 5x World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen Take Take Take is building a new home for modern chess. A social first AI-powered platform for players of every level who want play chess improve and share their learning journey with friends.

Weve already built a significant presence in the chess world reaching millions of people every month with our content. We just launched our new product and were incredibly excited about the future. Take Take Take is backed by SNÖ Coatue Lovable Patrick Collison and others. Were a small team in Oslo and our ambition is to build a new home for the worlds 600 million chess players.

The Role

As our Head of Product youll turn our vision into a clear product plan: a roadmap built around well-defined bets we can actually deliver on. Youll own the product day to day and youll own the key numbers that tell us whether its working.

Youll dig into where users experience real value and where they dont which usage patterns predict whether players come back and what we should build next. Youll make the call and make sure it ships.

As part of the leadership team alongside our CTO CCO and Head of Finance you report to the CEO with a clear mandate to lead product and challenge the direction rather than simply follow it.

Design sits with you as well. Our designers report to you and you own the design process and the quality bar across product and design.

What You Will Do

This is your chance to shape the product millions of chess players will use every day. Here is what you will do:

• Own how our players activate engage and stay with us.

• Get closer to our players than anyone else in the company using both user conversations and data to see where people find real value and what brings them back.

• Decide what we build next and in what order and make sure it ships working day to day with engineering design and growth.

• Set the quality bar for everything we release so each update feels like a product people want to return to.

• Bring structure to how we work with clear priorities and fast decisions.

What Does Success Look Like

Our ambition is to build a global chess platform reaching millions of users. As Head of Product you will play a defining role in turning that ambition into reality.

You will be successful when:

• More of the players who try us get real value in their first session and more of them come back the week after.

• Chess has become a habit for our users not something they try once.

• AI coaching play and community feel like one product players return to every day.

• More of the players who love the product choose to pay and they stay.

• The bets we place pay off more often than not and we understand why.

• We ship faster and with a higher bar than before you joined.

Who You Are

You have built consumer products yourself and you have moved the kind of numbers this role owns. You think mobile first. You understand habits streaks and what makes people come back and you are just as comfortable with data as with talking to users.

You have strong product taste and a high bar for quality. You have owned a product and its KPIs not just managed people and you bring structure to how a team works. You have led or worked closely with designers and you can raise the bar on design not just process. You speak fluent English and you are based in Oslo and want to work from the office with the team.

It is a plus if you have worked on a global B2C product like games or have a background in gamification. An interest in chess helps but we are happy to get you hooked. Solid experience is ideal but hunger and ownership matter more to us.
