Our wireless connectivity devices ship in hundreds of millions of units powering vital infrastructure in industrial facilities smart homes and connected vehicles. As the Cybersecurity Leader for Connectivity you will define the future security architectures for these platforms from wireless MCUs to communications stacks ensuring the systems that people and industries depend on remain secure. Based at our Oslo site this role serves as a focal point for both strategic and tactical security shaping requirements architectures and standards within Texas Instruments and across the organizations with whom we collaborate. Responsibilities also include defining features that balance strong security with good usability and resource efficiency for our devices.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Define security requirements
  • Analyze system use cases threats and vulnerabilities with inputs from customers and the broader technical community
  • Address device-specific concerns aligned with security standards
  • Design Secure Architectures:
    • HW-SW interactions secure storage cryptography methods security boundaries etc.
  • Threat Analysis
    • Analyze threats and attack surfaces
    • Collaborate with teams to mitigate potential risks (physical tampering side-channel attacks etc.)
  • Work with both HW and SW teams to ensure compliance with secure coding practices. Provide training.
  • Lead third-party collaborations (secure code reviews penetration testing etc.)
  • Stay updated on security standards and regulations and drive adoption across teams


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in embedded security
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Strong embedded firmware skills and experience
  • Excellent system-level understanding of security architectures for embedded systems
  • Good understanding of security regulations standards and processes
  • Good understanding of security in communication protocols
  • Basic understanding of wireless communication systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to influence across functions and organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and drive results in an international environment
