Clarion Hotel Air is looking for a Conference Host:

No expierience is required as long as you are positive energized and quick learner!

A valid drivers license and access to a car are considered an additional advantage. As the hotel is located near the airport public bus services are not available at all hours so having your own transportation can make commuting to work much easier.

Overall responsibility

As a conference host your primary responsibility is to ensure that guests have an exceptional experience during their meetings and events. This role requires a strong focus on guest service technical knowledge and effective coordination with other departments. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations during setup execution and follow-up of events and maintaining our standards of quality and service.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with event organizers to understand event objectives logistics and attendee expectations

• Welcome guests providing essential information about evacuation procedures restrooms meals and other event-related details

• Manage the flow of attendees throughout the conference ensuring smooth transitions between sessions and activities

• Oversee the setup of conference rooms including furniture refreshments technology and equipment and conduct pre-event inspections

• Assist with technical setup and troubleshooting for presentations and events

• Monitor attendee satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in conference rooms and public areas and handle basic maintenance tasks when needed

• Check and finalize invoices for smaller conferences in consultation with manager or supervisor

• Prepare and manage daily event schedules (PMs) including handling last-minute changes

• Ensure timely delivery of all items and services required for events and manage conference supplies including orders when needed

• Stay informed about ongoing events contribute to the development of the conference department and engage in upselling activities

• Plan and manage your tasks independently including shift work and weekend duties if needed

• Be familiar with the vision culture and values of Strawberry and understand your role in being the face and voice of our work with WeCare

• Actively participate at meetings and make sure to keep up to date on information provided

• Understand how your contribution is valuable for the team to reach the three most important targets: employee satisfaction (Your Voice/Peakon) guest satisfaction (Loopon) and financial goals

• Work tasks responsibilities and time allocation may vary based on business needs and can be adjusted temporarily or permanently within the framework of collective agreements. Changes to tasks and duties will be communicated as necessary
