Job Description

We are looking for a CFO who wants to help build the Nordic regions leading digital wallet.

Over the past few years we have merged Vipps and MobilePay built one unified Nordic platform for 12.5 million users and created a profitable core business. Now we are investing further growing in existing markets and exploring new ones while competition from global tech giants intensifies. AI is already changing how we develop products make decisions and work together. That demands leaders who take full ownership bring people together and deliver.

We are looking for a CFO who makes complex problems simple challenges when needed and ensures sound decision-making. Someone who wants more than to keep the numbers in order: you will be a key sparring partner for the CEO and the board and a driving force and owner of strategy growth investments partnerships and M&A a leader who makes things happen and is fiercely hungry to win.

You are equally at home in board meetings as in day-to-day operations. At Vipps MobilePay leaders take ownership challenge established truths and show up where needed. We believe the best results are created when talented people collaborate closely across disciplines markets and levels.

This is not a traditional CFO role. It is the role for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance strategy and business development. You combine analytical strength with commercial instinct and lead with customer orientation as your foundation.

What will you lead

You will lead the Finance function across the entire Nordic region with a team of around 50 colleagues. The responsibilities span broadly: finance strategy corporate development M&A payment strategy legal functions and financial crime prevention.

You will be part of the executive leadership team and work closely with the CEO the board owners external partners and leaders across Norway Denmark Finland and Sweden. The ability to build trust create direction and bring people with you is just as important as your professional qualifications.

What you will own and deliver:

1. Setting the direction for growth and investments You drive and own the work on growth strategy new markets product development and capital allocation. We see significant potential in Sweden and Finland and continuously evaluate new products services and geographies. This requires a leader who not only analyses opportunities but mobilises the organisation to seize them.

2. Sparring partner for the CEO and the board You contribute perspectives and analyses that make us better equipped for major decisions and help us see where to invest what to deprioritise and how to create maximum value with the weight and credibility needed to influence where the biggest choices are made.

3. Exploring partnerships and M&A You lead the evaluation of acquisitions partnerships and structural opportunities. This requires strategic instinct commercial curiosity and the ability to lead complex processes with multiple stakeholders.

4. Building governance that creates momentum You ensure the insight and decision-making foundation that enables us to grow quickly without losing direction. Finance should not be a brake on progress but an engine for better decisions and smarter growth.

5. Developing Finance for the future You build a team that does not just report on developments but shapes them. This is about culture competence and the use of technology automation and AI and about leading people through continuous change.
