Job Summary
The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the receipt storage documentation and issuance of goods in the warehouse. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records ensuring proper storage of products and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inspect and verify incoming goods against delivery notes invoices and purchase orders.
- Record all incoming and outgoing stock accurately in the inventory system or stock register.
- Ensure goods are properly arranged labelled and stored for easy identification and retrieval.
- Issue goods only upon receipt of approved requisitions or authorized instructions.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock damaged goods expired products or discrepancies.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND or equivalent qualification in Accounting Business Administration Logistics or a related field is an advantage.
- At least 12 years of experience in storekeeping inventory management or warehouse operations.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work with spreadsheets or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail honesty and organizational skills.
- Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
