About the Company: Our client is a startup technology company providing software integration software development and technology consulting services to major financial institutions in Nigeria.
The Company is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to ensure the quality reliability and functionality of its software applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software testing a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to identify document and track defects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test cases test scenarios and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
Perform functional regression integration system and user acceptance testing.
Identify document and track software defects through to resolution.
Collaborate with Business Analysts Developers Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and testing needs.
Validate software functionality usability reliability and performance against defined requirements.
Participate in the review of business and technical requirements to identify potential quality issues early in the development lifecycle.
Re-test resolved defects and conduct regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new issues.
Maintain accurate test documentation test results and defect reports.
Support testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes standards and methodologies.
Provide clear and timely feedback on testing outcomes risks and identified issues.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field.
4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance preferably in a financial services fintech banking payments or related technology environment.
Strong understanding of software testing principles methodologies and SDLC processes.
Hands-on experience with functional regression integration and system testing.
Ability to create detailed test cases test scenarios and test reports.
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
