Job Summary
Building a new consumer category in Africa requires technology trust education and user experience to work seamlessly together. Our client is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who is naturally curious detail-oriented and passionate about asking What could go wrong You will work closely with Engineering Product and Design teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure our clients platform remains reliable intuitive and secure for thousands of active traders.

- You are a detail-oriented tester. You execute rigorous functional regression integration usability and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
- You understand transaction-heavy flows. You know how to rigorously validate critical customer journeys like user registration authentication deposits withdrawals market discovery and live trading.
- You are a collaborative problem-solver. You partner closely with developers product managers and designers to review requirements identify quality risks early and validate bug fixes.
- You are quality and process-driven. You maintain clean test documentation track defect resolution through to deployment and help automate test suites as the platform scales.
Your Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- You will design develop and execute comprehensive test plans test cases and regression suites for new and existing platform features.
- You will perform functional regression integration usability and exploratory testing across web and mobile application environments.
- You will test high-stakes user flows including account onboarding KYC/authentication wallet deposits funds withdrawal market trading and payout settlements.
Defect Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- You will identify document prioritize and track bugs through resolution ensuring clear reproduction steps and context for engineering teams.
- You will review product requirements and design specs early in the lifecycle to identify edge cases and potential quality risks before development ends.
- You will conduct re-testing and regression checks to ensure bug fixes are effective without introducing new defects into production.
Automation & Process Improvement
- You will build and maintain automated test scripts for suitable product areas to expand test automation coverage over time.
- You will conduct API testing using tools like Postman to verify backend service reliability and data integrity.
- You will participate in release planning evaluate deployment readiness and contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards and tools.

- High System Reliability: Minimal critical bugs or user-impacting defects reaching production across core trading and payment workflows.
- Comprehensive Test Coverage: Robust well-documented test suites and expanding test automation across web and mobile applications.
- Early Defect Detection: Proactively spotting edge cases and quality risks during requirement and design reviews prior to code completion.
- Seamless Collaboration: Establishing clear efficient communication loops with Engineering and Product teams to resolve issues rapidly.
To be considered for this role you should have
- 2 years of experience in software quality assurance software testing or a related QA engineering role.
- Strong understanding of core QA methodologies testing principles bug life cycles and SDLC practices within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Demonstrated experience testing web and mobile applications including writing test cases plans and executing regression suites.
- Hands-on API testing experience with tools like Postman is an advantage.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools is an advantage.
- Industry background in fintech trading platforms prediction markets sports betting or high-volume transactional products is highly desirable.
