Job Title: Relationship Officer - Business Development

Reports To: Business Manager Business Development
Supervises: Not Applicable
Promote and market the banks products acquire high-value customers manage loan and deposit portfolios and build long-term client relationships to drive growth.
Business Acquisition & Growth: Identify opportunities acquire new clients (HNIs corporates) promote bank products and build long-term relationships.
Portfolio & Credit Management: Prepare Credit Appraisal Memorandums (CAM) manage credit risk within limits and ensure deposit growth and timely loan repayments.
Account Onboarding: Complete account opening documentation in strict compliance with KYC guidelines.
Market Engagement: Attend industry forums seminars and receptions to monitor competitors and discover new market opportunities.
Education: Minimum of a First Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Masters degree or professional certifications are an added advantage (not compulsory).
Experience: Post-graduation experience in marketing banking products/services is not mandatory.
Strong sales negotiation and deal-closing skills.
Knowledge of mortgage loan and credit appraisal systems.
Strategic thinking analytical problem-solving and client management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under competing demands.
Financial Growth: Deposit balance growth revenue/profitability and market share.
Portfolio Health: Low Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) sound credit judgment and effective administration of NHF loans.
Customer Portfolio: Number of high-net-worth individual (HNI) accounts new active accounts and repeat customers.
Governance: Compliance with Internal Controls/Audit opinions and low complaint volumes.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of brand management corporate communications public relations and reputation management. -Excellent knowledge of the banking industry customer segments and the regulatory environment. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication and integrated campaign plans. -Strong media relations stakeholder management and networking capabilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills including speech writing presentations and executive messaging. -Ability to manage crisis communications and sensitive reputational issues with sound judgement. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign media and engagement data for decision-making. -Creative thinking strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in brand expression. -Strong leadership people management vendor management and project coordination skills. -Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and digital communication platforms.
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in accounting finance banking business administration or a related discipline.
