Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational needs and sustainability goals.
- Source evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers for food beverages packaging and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with food safety hygiene and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders delivery receipts and vendor performance.
- Collaborate with kitchen managers finance and operations teams to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Monitor inventory levels using accounting systems and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Promote sustainable procurement by prioritizing local organic and ethically sourced ingredients and materials.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and manage relationships to ensure reliability and value.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing vendor consolidation and competitive bidding.
- Support compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to procurement and inventory management.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Procurement or a related field.
- 45 years of proven experience in procurement within the food services hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement management principles including sourcing negotiation and contract administration.
- Hands-on experience with inventory accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g. SAP QuickBooks or similar).
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable procurement practices and environmental responsibility.
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software tools.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g. HACCP FDA or local equivalents) is highly desirable.
