Nursery Teacher
Job Summary
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that support childrens cognitive social emotional and physical development.
- Create a safe welcoming and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning creativity and positive behavior.
- Teach foundational skills such as letters numbers colors shapes phonics basic literacy and numeracy through engaging activities.
- Use play-based learning storytelling songs art games and practical activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
- Monitor and assess each childs development learning progress and individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of childrens attendance development behavior and academic progress.
- Provide appropriate support and encouragement to children who may require additional assistance with learning or social development.
- Promote good manners personal hygiene independence sharing teamwork and respect for others.
- Supervise children always and ensure their safety during classroom activities break periods meals and outdoor play.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding childrens progress behavior and general wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff to support the overall development and wellbeing of the children.
- Prepare classroom materials teaching aids displays and learning resources.
- Participate in school events meetings training sessions and extracurricular activities.
- Follow school policies procedures and safeguarding requirements.
- Maintain a clean organized and child-friendly classroom.
- Identify and report any concerns relating to a childs health safety behavior or development to the appropriate school authority.
- Continuously develop teaching skills and stay informed about effective early-years teaching practices.
Required Skills:
Qualifications and Requirements Bachelors Degree NCE or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education Education or a related field. Previous experience teaching in a nursery or early years setting is preferred. Strong understanding of child development and early childhood learning principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with young children. Required Education:
