Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled reliable maintenance engineer to join our growing this position you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment machineries and marine equipment.
Maintenance Engineer responsibilities include conducting routine inspections performing system updates and implementing preventative maintenance measures. You will be well-versed in various testing methods and safety practices.
Ultimately the Maintenance Engineer will ensure that all installations repairs and maintenance are performed to the highest standards enhancing the companys overall productivity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Handle repairs and ensure that machinery is in good working order
- Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary
- Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them
- Repair machines equipment or structures as necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Maintain documentation of work carried out
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance strategies
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Maintenance Engineer
- in Mechanical Engineering
- Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and best practices
- Confident using hardware tools and power equipment
- Good working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
- Good physical fitness and comfortable working with a variety of hand tools
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of general maintenance procedures; mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems. The ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment is preferred.
