Job Summary
- Develop and execute the organizations facilities and infrastructure strategy in alignment with business growth plans.
- Serve as trusted advisor to Executive Management on all property infrastructure and capital project matters including Board-level reporting where required.
- Set standards for workplace quality operational readiness and asset management across all company locations
- Act as the organizations lead representative on the new facility project working with architects contractors project managers and regulatory bodies through design construction fit-out and commissioning.
- Develop and manage the relocation project plan timeline and budget ensuring milestones are tracked and risks are proactively managed.
- Coordinate technical and regulatory sign-off requirements specific to aviation facilities (e.g. hangar specifications fuel storage ramp and apron infrastructure fire and safety systems) ahead of occupation.
- Plan and lead the physical move including IT and systems cut over furniture and equipment relocation signage and change communication to minimize disruption to operations.
- Establish post-move support arrangements snagging processes and defects management with contractors during the warranty period.
- Partner with Finance and Executive Management on capital expenditure planning cost control and reporting for the new facility project.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across the building hangar as well as mechanical & electrical equipment to ensure operational uptime.
- Implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or equivalent to track assets schedules and service history.
- Manage utilities mechanical electrical and plumbing systems and building management systems (BMS) where applicable.
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation NCAA and aviation security requirements fire safety codes and environmental regulations.
- Own workplace risk assessments permit-to-work systems and emergency response and evacuation planning for both current and new sites.
- Lead physical security strategy including access control perimeter security CCTV and coordination with aviation security agencies.
- Coordinate facilities readiness for regulatory inspections audits and certifications including those required for occupation of the new facility.
- Oversee hangar ramp apron infrastructure to meet operational and regulatory standards.
- Manage infrastructure where applicable in line with safety and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations Ground Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure facilities support aircraft servicing needs as related to the infrastructure.
- Select negotiate and manage contracts with construction firms facilities service providers and maintenance contractors.
- Establish service level agreements and performance metrics for outsourced services (cleaning security landscaping waste management etc.).
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards on-site.
- Budget & Cost Management
- Develop and manage the annual facilities operating budget and the new facility capital budget.
- Identify cost-efficiency opportunities across maintenance utilities and service contracts without compromising safety or quality.
- Provide regular financial and progress reporting to Executive Management on both operating facilities and the relocation project.
- Lead space planning for the new facility balancing operational administrative and growth requirements.
- Manage office layout seating and workplace experience standards across current and future sites.
- Support departmental stakeholders in defining space and equipment requirements ahead of the move.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans covering facilities-related risks including during the transition period.
- Provide facilities leadership during emergencies operational disruptions or incidents affecting either site.
- Demonstrate flexibility to respond to facilities-critical issues outside standard hours particularly during the construction and move phases.
- Lead coach and develop the Facilities team building capability and accountability across maintenance HSE and operations roles.
- Maintain strong working relationships internally with the Board Managing Director Executive Management and Department Heads
- Manage key external relationships with architects contractors NCAA FAAN utility providers regulatory agencies and local authorities.
- Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering (Mechanical Electrical or Civil) Architecture Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Masters degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Professional certification such as IFMA (CFM) RICS NEBOSH (or equivalent HSE certification) or a recognized project management certification (PMP or similar) is required.
- 1012 years of progressive experience in facilities infrastructure or engineering management including at least 35 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience leading a new building construction fit-out or office/facility relocation project from planning through to occupation.
- Experience in aviation industrial logistics or another highly regulated and safety-critical environment is strongly preferred.
- Track record of managing capital projects contractor relationships and multi-million-naira budgets.
- Experience supporting executive leadership and Board-level reporting on infrastructure and capital projects
Required Skills:
BSc Marketing Business administration or a related field Post-graduate qualification is an added advantage 5 - 10 years post qualification experience Min 5 years in a Marketing leadership role Requirements A strategic mindset capable of developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans aligned with overall business goals. Familiarity with the Aviation oil and gas industry in which the company operates. Understanding industry trends consumer behavior and competition is essential for effective marketing strategies.
