Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load unload transport stack and position materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely in designated work areas.
• Load unload move and stack materials and equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections of forklifts.
• Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured before movement.
• Follow designated traffic routes and speed limits.
• Assist with receiving dispatching and positioning of materials.
• Report equipment defects damage or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain forklift operating and inspection records.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain good housekeeping around storage and loading areas.
• Comply with company HSE and material-handling procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of SSCE/OND or relevant technical qualification.
• Valid Forklift Operator certification/licence.
• Minimum 23 years experience operating forklifts in a warehouse logistics marine or oil & gas environment.
• Experience handling heavy or industrial materials is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of lifting and material-handling procedures.
• Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable.
