Forklift Operator
Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load unload transport stack and position materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely in designated work areas.
- Load unload move and stack materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily pre-use inspections of forklifts.
- Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured before movement.
- Follow designated traffic routes and speed limits.
- Assist with receiving dispatching and positioning of materials.
- Report equipment defects damage or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain forklift operating and inspection records.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Maintain good housekeeping around storage and loading areas.
- Comply with company HSE and material-handling procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of SSCE/OND or relevant technical qualification.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification/licence.
- Minimum 23 years experience operating forklifts in a warehouse logistics marine or oil & gas environment.
- Experience handling heavy or industrial materials is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of lifting and material-handling procedures.
- Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable.
