About the Role

Were growing our finance team and hiring a Financial Accountant to share the load as our transaction volumes scale.

This is a hands-on role. Youll be in the numbers every day running reconciliations preparing entries closing the books and keeping our reporting tight across multiple entities. Our volumes are high (think closer to a busy microfinance bank than a quiet back office) so accuracy under pressure is the name of the game.

What Youll Be Owning

Close & Reporting

• Run day-to-day close activities across entities reconciliations journals and schedules to tight monthly deadlines
• Prepare entity-level and consolidated financial statements (P&L balance sheet cash flow) for review
• Keep intercompany accounts eliminations and reconciliations clean and consistent
• Hold the line on accuracy as transaction volumes climb

B2B & Operational Accounting

• Handle B2B accounting entries revenue fees settlements and client balances accurately and on time
• Track client balances commissions and partner-related transactions correctly
• Work closely with Settlement Assurance and Ops so the numbers reflect whats actually happening
• Turn complex high-volume B2B flows into clean auditable entries

Controls & Operations

• Support and maintain controls across AP AR payroll and reconciliations
• Apply correct accounting treatment for crypto-related transactions (valuation fees taxes) well train you on the crypto specifics
• Keep documentation current practical and audit-ready

Compliance & Support

• Support audits tax filings and statutory reporting across jurisdictions
• Support budgeting and forecasting with reliable entity-level data
• Flag issues and risks early before they become problems

Biggest Challenges Youll Tackle

• Keeping accuracy tight as transaction volumes and account numbers grow
• Turning messy high-volume data into clean auditable entries
• Keeping intercompany balances and eliminations right across multiple entities
• Hitting close deadlines every month not just at year-end

What Were Looking For

• 2 - 5 years of hands-on financial accounting experience
• A professional qualification (ICAN ACA ACCA CPA) qualified or well on the way
• Strong grounding in financial reporting reconciliations and month-end close
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience in a high-volume environment where money genuinely moves fintech banking microfinance manufacturing or FMCG or a busy accounting firm handling real transaction volume
• A sharp eye for detail you catch your own errors before they leave your desk
• Comfortable working in well-built spreadsheets (we dont rely on a heavy ERP)
• Dependable organised and able to own your work without hand-holding

Nice to Have

• Experience accounting for crypto assets or exchanges
• Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks NetSuite SAP or similar
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction environments

Reporting Line

Youll report to the CFO and work closely with the broader Finance Settlement and Assurance teams to keep Quidax financially sound as we scale.
