As a Finance Officer you will be saddled with the responsibility to:
- Ensure that all expense tickets are processed and paid within 3 working hours of receipt to aid the preparation and readiness of the management account.
- Ensure that all taxes (WHT) are correctly remitted promptly on all OPEX tickets
- Spool first draft of Cash GLs on the first working day of every month.
- Collect and review all bank statements weekly and monthly
- Support monthly bank reconciliation of accounts domiciled with the finance department
- Carry out any other function as directed by the line manager
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or a related field.
- 24 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one (e.g. ICAN ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong analytical numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
