Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fibre Optics Fiber Optic Technician is part of the tech team responsible for installing maintaining and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems within a 20 kilometer OLT coverage radius. The role ensures seamless connectivity and reliable technical services for clients. Key Responsibilities Install test and maintain fiber optic cables and networks Perform splicing termination and troubleshooting Respond to service calls and resolve connectivity issues Collaborate with sales and customer support teams Conduct regular maintenance checks and upgrades Implement system expansions and upgrades Ensure compliance with health safety and technical standards Skills & Attributes Strong technical knowledge of OLTs and fiber tools Dedicated detail-oriented and reliable Ensures service reliability and minimal downtime
Requirements
Qualifications Minimum: Diploma Experience: 3 years (mid-level)
Proven experience as fibre Optics Technician or in similarly telecommunications/network role.
Good understanding of fibre optic principles cable types connectors and network architecture.
Ability to read technical drawings and network layouts.
Good communication teamwork and problem- solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet with deadlines.
Required Skills:
Diploma/OND 3 years experience as fibre optics technician
Required Education:
OND Holder
