Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Facility Cleaner will carry out daily manual cleaning across offices public areas restrooms corridors and back-of-house zones and provide light equipment support (mop systems vacuums and basic floor-care machines) to the wider Cleaning & Janitorial team. The role requires a dependable hygiene-conscious individual who follows set cleaning schedules and standards in a live high-footfall public environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out daily cleaning of floors surfaces fixtures glass and furniture across assigned zones (offices public areas corridors back-of-house).

Clean and disinfect restrooms and washroom facilities to a consistently high hygiene standard restocking consumables as needed.

Empty and manage waste bins and trolleys following correct waste segregation and disposal procedures.

Use manual cleaning tools correctly (mops brooms squeegees cleaning caddies) and follow colour-coding/cross-contamination protocols.

Operate light cleaning equipment such as mop/scrubber machines upright and back-pack vacuums and floor driers under guidance supporting the Cleaning Equipment Operator team on larger tasks.

Follow scheduled cleaning zone plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent coverage and finish quality.

Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly following product labels and site safety procedures.

Report maintenance defects spillages hazards or equipment faults promptly to the Supervisor.

Use correct signage (wet floor/caution signs) during and after cleaning operations to ensure public safety.

Support event-based deep cleans and turnaround cleaning during high-footfall periods as required.

Work courteously and safely around members of the public staff and visitors at all times.



Requirements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum basic education (primary/secondary); no formal certification required though a cleaning/hygiene training certificate is an advantage.

13 years experience in a commercial institutional hospitality or similar cleaning role is preferred; motivated candidates with less experience will also be considered.

Basic literacy sufficient to follow cleaning schedules safety signage and chemical labels.

Willingness to learn and operate light cleaning equipment (training provided).

Physically fit and able to be on your feet for extended periods including bending lifting and repetitive tasks.

Willingness to work shifts including early mornings evenings or weekends based on operational and event schedules.

Reliable punctual and comfortable working as part of a team in a live public-facing environment.

A positive courteous attitude toward staff and members of the public.
