Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation inspection maintenance testing troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable rig operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical systems equipment panels motors generators and control systems.
- Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs.
- Test electrical equipment and circuits.
- Inspect cables switches lighting systems distribution boards and electrical installations.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Maintain electrical tools and test instruments.
- Ensure electrical work complies with approved procedures and standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Participate in electrical isolation and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
- Report electrical hazards and equipment defects.
- Comply with HSE and electrical safety requirements.

Qualifications :
- Minimum of OND/NABTEB/Trade Test in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 35 years relevant electrical maintenance experience preferably on drilling rigs offshore vessels or oil & gas facilities.
- Experience with generators motors switchboards control panels lighting and electrical distribution systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safety isolation and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Relevant electrical certification/licence is an advantage.
- Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable.
