Job Summary

Reports to: Procurement & Logistics Manager

Role Summary: The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the companys product offerings. Working closely with cross-functional operational teams the role ensures demand plans are aligned with business objectives optimize inventory levels and support product availability and customer service performance.

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- medium- and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories and product lines.
  • Analyze historical sales trends project pipelines customer demand patterns market intelligence and commercial activities to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor forecast performance identify variances and recommend corrective actions to improve forecasting effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales Marketing Customer Service and Finance teams to gather market insights and align demand forecasts with business plans.
  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing accurate demand projections and analysis.
  • Work closely with Production Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure demand plans are translated into effective supply and inventory plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock-outs excess inventory slow-moving stock and obsolescence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes forecasting methods and data quality.
  • Maintain accurate planning data within ERP and reporting systems.

Qualifications :

  • BSc/HND in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of forecasting methodologies inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
  • Strong communication stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High level of accuracy attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
