Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer payments using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Reconcile daily sales reports with cash and electronic transaction records.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date bookkeeping records for all transactions.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels by reporting discrepancies and supporting stock audits.
- Provide excellent customer service during checkout including handling inquiries complaints and special requests.
- Promote menu items and special offers to enhance sales and support marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the management team to prepare daily weekly and monthly financial summaries.
- Support cash control procedures including timely deposits and secure handling of funds.
- Identify opportunities to improve transaction speed and customer experience.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cashier or front-of-house role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting applications (e.g. QuickBooks Xero or similar) and POS systems.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles including daily reconciliation and financial record-keeping.
- Demonstrated ability in sales and marketing activities such as upselling promoting loyalty programs and driving repeat business.
- High level of accuracy integrity and attention to detail in financial tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
