API Automation Engineer With Nigerian Banking Experience

Role Purpose

Executes and automates the API testsuite andbuilds andmaintainsthe committed automation regression pack for theprogramme.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute API test cases: contract correctness status codes schema validationversionandbackward-compatibility.

• Build andstabilisemobile UI automation (Appium) and API automation (RestAssured) scripts for the committed automation scope.

• Integrate automation into CI/CD execution waves smoke tests on every build regression nightly extended suite pre-release.

• Stand up service-virtualization mocks for third-party payment-rail and identity-verification dependencies duringinitialenvironment setup so early testingisntblocked by sandbox availability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated API test automation experience (RestAssuredor equivalent).

• Demonstrated mobile UI automation experience (Appiumor equivalent).

• CI/CD pipeline integration experience.

Required Skills & Tools

RestAssured Postman/NewmanAppium Java orKotlin CI/CD platforms ( GitHub Actions).

What Success Looks Like

Committed automation scope is scripted stable and integrated into CI/CD before codefreeze; the regression suite runs in hours not days.
