Job Summary

Our client a real estate property development and construction company is seeking a highly competent proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the companys financial records monitor transactions and support sound financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate must be hands-on analytical and commercially aware with strong accounting skills and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of professionalism accuracy and initiative with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including income expenses assets and liabilities.
  
• Prepare and maintain financial statements management accounts and periodic financial reports.
  
• Monitor cash flow track company expenditures and ensure proper financial planning and control.
  
• Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely payments and collections.
  
• Reconcile bank statements financial records and account balances regularly.
  
• Monitor project budgets property development costs and construction-related expenses.
  
• Prepare and monitor budgets forecasts and financial projections to support business decisions.
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations accounting standards and statutory financial reporting requirements.
  
• Process invoices receipts payments and other financial transactions accurately.
  
• Identify financial discrepancies investigate irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and ensure effective internal controls.
  
• Liaise with banks auditors tax consultants and other relevant stakeholders when required.
  
• Support financial audits and ensure that all necessary records and documentation are readily available.
  
• Provide management with financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or HND in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
  
• 35 years of relevant experience in accounting preferably within real estate property development construction or a related industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting budgeting and financial management.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial management tools.
  
• Excellent analytical numerical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
  
• Highly proactive hands-on and capable of managing financial operations with minimal supervision.
  
• Strong integrity professionalism and ability to handle confidential financial information.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with management and other departments.
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
