Job Summary
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records reports and statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Perform bank reconciliation and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and statutory deductions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT PAYE withholding tax and other statutory filings.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost control.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory records where applicable.
- Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree or HND in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN ACCA ACA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 35 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles taxation and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks Sage Zoho Books SAP ERP systems etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
