We are looking forsomeone to work Awake Shifts and join our youth focused team to help supporttaiohi in a homelike environment.

We provide health and wellbeing services workingwith local community supports to help taiohi aged 12-18 develop life skills andbuild strong connections including their school employer whānau andfriends.

The Role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We have two opportunities available workingawake night shifts 11:00pm7:30am. The days of work can be negotiated for theright candidate.

While these roles are based at our SalisburyRoad respite facility there may be times when the facility is not these periods you will be expected to work awake night shifts at ourother services.
As a YouthWorker youll be supporting taiohiin a home like environment to developlife skills so they can thrive in their community. You must have the ability torelate to Taiohi and help them with goal planning building their wellbeingresilience and confidence.

You Mōu
Inthis role you will need:

• Hold a National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (level 4) National Certificate in Youth Work Level 4certificate in Health and Wellbeinga health qualificationor above tertiary qualification
• Experience in working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care
• Be experienced or comfortable with group facilitation
• Passionate about supporting young people to build confidence and resilience
• Both de-escalation skills and relationship building skills
• A current full New Zealand driverslicence
• A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one
• Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
