About Hamlin road OrganicFarm
Established by Pathways in2002 Hamlin Road Farm is a certified organic farm that provides uniquetransitional employment and education opportunities for people experiencingmental illness adding another dimension to their recovery journey.
The farm allows people tocreate an identity as a worker and gain the skills qualifications andconfidence to think about a job anywhere.
With a strong focus onsustainability Hamlin Road Farm grows an array of organic produce andseedlings in its nine large outside garden beds six shade houses and itscitrus orchard and propagation house.

The Role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As a Farm Support Workeryour role will be supporting people in real employment the maintenance of anorganic farm and supporting people with their health and wellbeing. You will have duties such as harvesting planting weeding lawn mowing contracts and general farm duties on a daily basis. You will also be supporting them to access the resourcesthey need to live well and assist them towards building resilience into theirlives. You will be encouraging andassisting people to connect with their communities and building relationshipsthat matter most and youll need to be prepared to do whatever it takes tomake a difference.
This is a permanentfull-time position working 32 hours per week. You will be working Monday Thursday 8am 4:30pm. You will be able to work on our market stall one Saturdayand Sunday per month. You must also be able to cover a lawn mowing contract as needed.
You Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have acaring nature and have impeccable attention to detail. You must be able to workweekends asor if required in covering the market stalls and be able to assist with ouronline website selling produce and seedlings. There is some heavy liftinginvolved in this role so you must be able to lift crates.
You will also have;
- A current full drivers licence
- Either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent).
- Knowledge in horticulture
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge in the Health and Wellbeing sector
