ABOUT THE ROLE

Werelooking for a motivated intern to join our Quality Engineering team in Auckland. Your primary focus will be to reduce 70% of the Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) caused by external suppliers and raised by production by developing work instructions for inspections according to non-conformance investigations and production requirements.

This is an opportunity to work on real space technology projects and contribute to missions that areliterally reachingfor the stars.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Data analysis forNon-Conformancesandidentifyingpriorities

• Defect type investigation and root cause analysis about the escape of the issues to production

• Work Instructions development as part of corrective actions tracking NCRs trends and progress

• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to address quality issues

• Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas

• Support quality assurance activities across the organization

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

MUST HAVE:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering or related discipline

• Microsoft applications knowledge such as Excel Word Outlook and Power Point

• Basic drawing interpretation and measurement equipment knowledge such as verniermicrometre and gauges

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Passion for aerospace space technology and innovation

NICE TO HAVE:

• GD&T interpretation

• Understanding of problem-solving tools

• Understanding of machining parts or electronic parts quality requirements

• Previousinternship or project experience in quality engineering or manufacturing

• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies
