What youll do

As an Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer in our Buildings Structures team based in Wellington youll contribute to projects that make a real difference across the local and national portfolio.

This is an office-based role with a strong construction monitoring component across Wellington and the lower North Island. Supporting site-based delivery will be a significant part of the mahi over the coming year.

  • Lead and deliver structural design across a wide range of building typologies from townhouses and apartments to hospitals schools offices and industrial facilities.
  • Deliver seismic assessments and seismic upgrade projects across Wellington and the wider region.
  • Support construction monitoring construction-phase queries design clarifications and contractor management.
  • Work closely with clients councils contractors external design partners and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Bring analytical rigour and sound engineering judgement while supporting delivery quality and junior engineer development.

What youll bring
  • A Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering or similar.
  • Consultancy experience in structural engineering ideally across building design seismic assessment or seismic upgrade work.
  • Strong technical capability and the confidence to deliver quality work proactively and with sound judgement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for construction monitoring contractor management and stakeholder liaison.
  • A collaborative curious mindset and a passion for solving complex problems that make a meaningful difference for communities.
