Position Overview:

As part of the talented Product Development and Engineering team The Software Quality Tester II is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded software and hardware solutions through testing validation and automation. The role works closely with software developers hardware engineers and project teams to support embedded Linux- and Android-based products. It involves identifying defects verifying system functionality and contributing to the delivery of reliable high-quality solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Review requirements and specifications to develop effective test coverage.
• Design execute and maintain test cases.
• Validate software releases on embedded Linux and Android platforms.
• Verify hardware peripherals and system functionality during bring-up and development.
• Develop and maintain test automation solutions.
• Identify document and analyse defects partnering with engineering teams to drive resolution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science IT Engineering or a related field.
• 24 years of experience in software testing quality assurance or validation.
• Experience with software and hardware validation.
• Comfortable working in Linux command-line environments.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes multimeters and power supplies.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming experience in C C Java or Python.
• Interest in or experience with test automation development.
• Understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software integration.
• Familiarity with Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
• Knowledge of Android CTS and VTS frameworks.
• ISTQB certification or experience working in an Agile development environment.

Working Conditions:

• General office environment
• Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Standard working hours with occasional flexibility based on project needs.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs consistently
• Able to operate multiple types of watercraft safely or be willing to learn
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at various heights
