Te kōwhiringa The Opportunity

The Site Engineer Structures plays a vital role in the day-to-day delivery of structural construction activities on the Ō2NL South Alliance.

Working under the guidance of the Project Engineer the Site Engineer ensures that works are delivered safely efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards.

The role involves close coordination with supervisors subcontractors surveyors and quality teams to deliver piling ground improvement precast and bridge construction packages.

About Ō2NL:

The Ōtaki to north of Levin (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety resilience and efficiency as well as increasing transport choices for the areas growing population. The Ō2NL project is led in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi Muaūpoko Tribal Authority local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and council partner Horowhenua District Council.

This transformative project is being delivered using a two-alliance approach with each alliance delivering a section of the road and associated works. Together alliance partners are working to create a positive legacy for the region led by our project principles to tread lightly with the whenua and create an enduring legacy. We are seeking excellent people for this unique opportunity to work and collaborate with leading industry organisations.

Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in civil construction (internship or graduate-level work experience preferred).
  • Exposure to structural or bridge works is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specs.
  • Basic understanding of QA/QC and construction sequencing.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations; willingness to champion a safe work culture.
