Senior Site Manager

Job Summary
As we continue to build on our success in New Zealand we currently seek a Senior Site Manager to join our Christchurch team. Reporting to the Project Manager this role will be directly responsible for on site operations including programming coordination of all subcontractors and logistics management.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Proactively drive company safety environment and quality policies practices and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
- Coordinate all construction activities on and off site and ensuring that all conditions and regulations are complied with.
- Call and chair site co-ordination meetings of subcontractors suppliers and members of the design team as required to discuss progress co-ordination work practices and other relevant details to ensure a timely and professional construction progress.
- Review the construction programme with the programming department re-sequencing of the programme as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
- Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents and be accountable for the on-site delivery of the technical component of the subcontractor scope of works.
Qualifications :
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree/Diploma in building/construction or other recognised tertiary or trade qualification in a construction related field.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering large building projects for a principal contractor.
- Ability to communicate influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative sound reasoning listening and decision making skills.
- Proven ability to build and lead an effective results driven team.
