What Makes This Role Great: You will build a versatile foundation in software engineering and technology operations by rotating through four distinct technical domains including AI/Machine Learning DevOps Systems Engineering and UX/UI Design. This program provides executive visibility hands-on exposure to cutting-edge tools and a structured post-program placement pathway tailored to your professional goals.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

• Rotate through four six-month assignments across critical engineering tracks such as test firmware AI/machine learning systems software and product management.
• Design build and deploy innovative software applications while contributing directly to production codebases and real-world projects.
• Explore and implement emerging technologies including AI-powered developer tools to optimize workflows improve code quality and automate repetitive tasks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges refine user experiences and advance strategic product goals.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Up to three years of relevant experience or a minimum of one prior technical internship.
• Strong programming ability in C or C# complemented by scripting experience in Python JavaScript Bash Shell Ruby or Perl.
• Critical thinking and self-motivation with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Full legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Bonus Points For

• Domain experience in computer vision photogrammetry 3D modeling artificial intelligence signal processing image recognition or GNSS.
• Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Recent leadership experience in university projects or community organizations.
