We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with mental health experienceand a comprehensive scope of practice to join our Clinical Specialist Teambased in Whanganui. Youll work alongside our AOD Clinician Social Worker andOccupational Therapist bringing your nursing perspective to a skilledmultidisciplinary team that supports people across the this roleyoull provide clinical guidance to Support Workers manage your own caseloadcontribute to group programmes and support tāngata whai ora throughrecovery-focused culturally safe practice.

In this varied role you will:

• Support people to identify and meet their individual health and social care needs through exceptional clinical practice
• Complete robust risk assessments and contribute to safe responsive support planning
• Develop clinically appropriate goal plans in partnership with tāngata whai ora and their whānau
• Liaise and collaborate with internal teams external services and community partners as required
• Focus on individual needs while providing culturally safe strengths-based and recovery-focused practice

This is a full-time Monday to Friday role (8:30am 5pm)based at Park Place just along the road from the beautiful awa in Whanganui.

Youll be a passionate experienced Registered Nurse who brings strong mentalhealth knowledge sound clinical judgement and a genuine commitment to improvingwellbeing in the community. Youll be confident building trusted relationshipswith tāngata whai ora whānau colleagues and partner services and youllbring warmth professionalism and adaptability to your practice.

Were looking for someone who has:

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid APC
• Experience working within mental health and supporting people with complex mental and physical health needs
• Strong assessment care planning and risk management skills
• Confidence providing 1:1 support contributing to group interventions and working in a multidisciplinary environment
• A commitment to culturally safe recovery-focused and trauma-informed practice
• A full clean drivers licence
