Join ACCIONA and be part of a team delivering one of New Zealands most significant transport infrastructure projects. The Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono project will enhance connectivity improve safety and support regional growth leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.

The Opportunity

The Procurement Lead is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement and subcontractor engagement process across infrastructure projects ensuring the timely and commercial procurement of goods services and subcontract works. The role oversees strategic sourcing market engagement supplier and subcontractor prequalification tender management and contract award activities while driving value risk mitigation and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute procurement strategies across multiple categories.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle including sourcing tendering evaluation negotiations contracting and supplier onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business continuity and longterm value.
  • Collaborate with operational technical and commercial teams to forecast demand and understand procurement requirements.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with governance frameworks risk controls and compliance obligations.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes tools and reporting.
  • Provide commercial insights to support budgeting and cost forecasting.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Experience in procurement strategic sourcing or supply chain.
  • Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into procurement strategy.
  • Understanding of procurement governance risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to enhance processes and workflows.

The project will initially be based in Auckland and then move to an office between Warkworth and Wellsford.
