Practice Manager PETVET Lower Hutt

Are you a seasoned Veterinary Nurse ready to step into leadership or an experienced Practice Manager looking for your next challenge

PETVET Lower Hutthas an exciting opportunity for afull-time Practice Managerto lead our talented team and support the continued success of our thriving clinic.

Our purpose-built 400m² facility provides both first opinion and referral services to the Wellington and Wairarapa regions. Equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities including digital radiography a spacious ultrasound suite two sterile theatres and a non-sterile theatre youll be leading a team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

What Were Looking For

  • A confident and approachable people leader who can motivate mentor and support team performance

  • Previous leadership or management experience within veterinary healthcare or a customer-focused environment. Veterinary Nurse experience is ideal but not essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • A proactive approach to rostering workflow management and team development

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients team members and suppliers

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in driving practice performance

  • A hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed

The Role Includes

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the clinic

  • Managing rostering administration stock control and facility requirements

  • Supporting recruitment onboarding and team development

  • Conducting team meetings training initiatives and performance reviews

  • Driving engagement wellbeing health and safety initiatives

  • Working closely with leadership to achieve operational and financial goals

  • Fostering a culture focused on exceptional client and patient care
