Plant and Terminal Operations

Our Nelson team are on the lookout for responsible and reliable people with a positive work ethic to join our friendly team on a casual basis.

What you will be doing:

• Assisting with bunker operations for vessels when they are at the Port
• Discharging of fuel tankers into Oil Industry Terminal tanks
• Other duties may be offered should you have the right skills and positive approach to work
• Involves manual handling of up to 25kgs and working outside in all weather conditions
• Vessels can arrive at any time of the day or night weekdays or weekend so flexibility is key for this role

Qualifications :

Profile:

• Proven ability to manage your time and work in a busy environment
• Due to working hours and the need to be available on short notice ideally you will be based locally
• Owing to the nature of the work and scheduling requirements you will need to be able to work days nights weekends and public holidays in all weather conditions when required
• Demonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health and safety requirements 
• Knowledge of and previous experience working in the Oil Gas and Chemical Industry highly advantageous

Qualifications:

• Good verbal communication and able to maintain accurate written records
• Commuter literate
• Must hold a current and unrestricted New Zealand Drivers License
• Forklift License (an advantageous)
• Pass a drug screening and MOJ process
• Must be a NZ Citizen/Resident
