Job Description

This is a fulltime position (5 days onsite) ideal for someone with 12 years of payroll experience who is ready to step up and build a longterm career in payroll and finance.
Payroll & Time Accounting
Payroll data entry Enter and validate payroll and timesheet information identifying gaps or inconsistencies and resolving issues before processing.
Payroll preparation Prepare validate and upload payments and deductions for each pay cycle.
Timesheet analysis Ensure all labour hours are accurately accounted for; liaise with stakeholders to correct discrepancies.
Cycle support Support weekly and monthly payroll cycles update employee profiles and maintain documentation.
Time accounting Record labour hours against work orders and meet established deadlines.
Downtime reporting Generate weekly downtime reports and reclassify labour hours where required.
Employee queries Respond to payroll enquiries via HelpHub and the NZ Payroll Inbox.
System updates Maintain employee profiles in Workday and ADP including leave details.
Reporting Provide payrollrelated reports as needed.
Audit support Assist Finance during external audits by preparing documentation and validating records.
Excel proficiency Lookups pivot tables formulas data validation.
Payroll experience 12 years in payroll with exposure to NZ payroll legislation.
Experience with payrolls and data processing.
Finance or dataprocessing background.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong reconciliation and auditing mindset.
Ability to handle sensitive employee and financial data appropriately.
Effective communication skills.
Experience with ERP/HRIS systems (JDE Workday ADP).
Exposure to automation tools (Smartsheets workflow improvements).
Ability to generate payroll insights or workforce reports.
