Were looking for an experienced Legal Executive to join our Settlements Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis (maternity cover) full-time or part-time hours considered based at our Auckland Support Office in the CBD.
This isnt your typical legal executive role. Rather than being allocated a fixed group of villages youll act as a float resource across Arvidas portfolio of retirement communities stepping in wherever the team needs you most. Youll help level the workload during busy settlement periods ensuring our residents and their families experience a smooth and timely transition into their new home.
Day to day youll be:
- Managing the end-to-end ORA settlement process for incoming and outgoing residents
- Preparing reviewing and managing settlement documentation including settlement statements
- Liaising with residents their families and their lawyers throughout the settlement journey
- Coordinating with sales managers village managers finance and operations teams across different communities
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and technology solutions within the settlements function
Youll be part of a small tight-knit legal team and will have the support of experienced colleagues but youll also need to be comfortable managing your own workload independently and adapting quickly to different village environments.

You are a delivery-focused legal executive with a high level of integrity energy and drive. In addition you will also bring:
- 2 years experience as a Legal Executive with strong conveyancing focus ideally with a blend of in-house and private practice experience
- An understanding of the retirement village regulatory landscape is a bonus but not essential well get you up to speed
- NZ Diploma in Legal Executive Studies (or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple villages
- Adaptability youre comfortable stepping into different teams and environments and building rapport quickly
- Strong attention to detail professionalism and a genuine desire to support people through significant life transitions
- A collaborative mindset with the empathy and communication skills to work effectively with residents families and a diverse range of internal stakeholders
