As a Kaipaihere/Connector you are the first real person point of connection for whānau seeking supportviaour website and0800number. You take the time to understand their needs holistically honouring their mauri and mana andnavigatethem to thefreesupportthey need and want in theirlocalcommunity toseamlessly managethosereferrals toourecosystem of to your connectedwhanau conversationspart ofyour role will see youmanage aportfolioofCommunityProvidersincludingcharitieshealth servicescommunity services kaupapapaMāoriservices andmore acting asakey relationship managerand supportingtheir needs with ourreferralplatform

Thisrolecanbe between0.6-1.0FTEfull or part timeto suit the applicant and is based in Hamiltonwithflexible working options

Inthis role you will:

• Contribute to our reputation for excellence and innovation through delivering high quality service and by seekingopportunitiesto continuously support the work that we do
• Provide support to theHere to Help Uteam to deliver an efficient top-quality service
• Build and maintain relationships with Community Providers ensuring sustainable connections to continue to provide assistance easily and safely includingidentifying and on-boarding new Providers andReferrerswhenrequired
• Represent Here to help uatcommunity eventsengaging with whānauand providerstopromote andshare our mahi
• Becommitted to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting equitable outcomes for Maori. We strongly encourage applications from candidates with experience in Kaupapa Maori approaches and/or working with Maori.

• Relevant experiencesupporting people inthe communitywithexperience infrontlineservicesfor healthorsocialservices
• You have aLevel 4New Zealand Certificate in Health & WellbeingorMental Healthor higheror similarrelevantqualification
• Youhave an understanding ofTeAoMāoriina context of health and socialservicesgenuine commitment to Te Tititi o Waitangi in particular todrivingequitableoutcomes.
• Youre empathetic and caring towards others
• Confident and passionate connecting withother communityservice providerswith strongcommunicationand engagementskills forrelationship management
• Youre adaptable and have great problem-solving skills
• Youre able to focus to Listen Connect Act
• You have a whānau-focused approachand ideally have experience withHauoraMaoriservices
• You have strong computer and technical skills and an ability to learn new systems quickly
