Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experiencedHydraulic Service Technicianto join our team working on heavy and commercial vehicles. This is a hands on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and safety.

Our client has over two decades in the heavy industry sector from hydraulics and heavy diesel to machining fabrication field service and project delivery. You will be part of a team that values quality consistency and delivering results that build our reputation.

The role involves the manufacture servicing repair and commissioning of hydraulic and mechanical equipment both on-site and within the workshop working across a range of major-brand hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse troubleshoot service and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems and components
  • Manufacture assemble test and commission hydraulic equipment
  • Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems with or without schematics
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and engineering drawings including open loop closed loop PTO-powered logic valve servo proportional and regenerative circuits
  • Safely operate and change accumulators
  • Use hydraulic test flushing filtration and purification equipment correctly
  • Select install and commission hydraulic hoses pipes and tubing ensuring correct sizing flow capacity and compatibility
  • Complete job cards timesheets and required documentation accurately and daily
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to maintain clear communication and high service standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in hydraulic servicing repair or mechanical equipment
  • Proven knowledge of major brand hydraulic components
  • Strong technical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
